  • Q. How do I submit recipes to this site?
  • A. Write olivechefs@yahoo.com with the recipe, your name, sex, location, and a photo of the completed dish if possible. Tidbits of wisdom on health, cooking, etc., are also appreciated.
  • Q. Where do I send questions about this site?
  • A. You can send them to the e-mail address above, but it’d save you time to write a comment and drop it into this page. I will try to answer the questions asap.
  • Q. What sort of recipes do you want?
  • A. We need all sors of recipes…main meals, fish, poultry, tofu, beef, chicken, salads, breads, soups, cakes, desserts, drinks, shakes, etc. Anything, really.

    thinking it might be nice if you had a way to divide up recipes by ingredient. Reason being, we in the Fam seem to get large amounts of one item. (eg. bananas, avocados, carrots, daikon, etc..) It would be nice to have a way to archive practical recipes for various foods that could appriciate some variety instead of the same one or two trusty recipes. Just a sugg.

    That is so very true. I’ll put them under tags. Tofu is one thing we seem to get alot of, and we rarely use it to its full potential. I’ll be updating some good recipes of the above genre soon, but if anybody else has some good ones that saved your home in a time of especially bountiful blessing, by all means send them in!

    One thing that would be really helpful, is a chart of supplemental ingredients. In case a spice isn’t avalible, we can check the chart to see if there’s an alternate one.

    Hello and hi! My alias is Gillian. Is this the place where you can request a recipe? If so, I’d like to request a recipe for…BEANS! Yes, everyone in our Home is weary of the bean recipes we do have (not that we’re complaining of course :D) so I’m asking if you know of any interesting way to serve them up? Thanks a ton. Excellent site btw. Keep it up!

    IS there any way to post some cake and cookie recipes that don’t call for luxury ingredients like butter and powdered sugar? where I’m from that stuff is hard to come by! it would be nice to get a few recipes that use simpler ingredients (like liquid sugar and oil) but still come out nice.

    I’ll be working on it. I have some good recipes for rice pudding, tofu deserts, cAKES, ETC. i’LL PUT THOSE UP SOON! gby!

    Hi there…I had an idea after browsing…now I don’t know anything about sites but maybe when there gets to be more recipes you can also categorise them by countries, like Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and did I mention Italian? Ha! I live in Nepal but spent most of my childhood in Italy, so I’ll send in some recipes as soon as I can–maybe I can send a few Nepali ones too…
    Wow, I can’t believe this–my love of food has caused me to comment on a blog twice in the same day…I rarely ever find the time to get on my friends’ blogs, much less comment…!
    But I saw this in the GV we just got, and so here I am! Thanks again for putting this up.

    That’s a great idea! someone also asked me to categorize by ingredient…Maybe I’ll make an index page. It’s not too difficult. Just very time consuming.
